Do you suffer from a respiratory condition such as asthma?
COVID-19 is a respiratory virus - so those of us that suffer from asthma and other respiratory conditions are more at risk.
Therefore, we must take extra care when using inhalers, spacers and nebulisers.
It is possible that the use of nebulisers can contribute to the spread of COVID-19.
Medical advice from respiratory specialists is that using an inhaler via a spacer is just as effective as a nebuliser and removes the risk of spreading COVID-19.
If it is difficult to manage using the spacer directly, the mask attachment from the nebuliser can be attached directly to the spacer and used this way.
If you do not have a spacer, you can get one from a pharmacy.
If you have any concerns about this, please phone your GP.
