Netta's 90th Birthday
Birthday Celebrations
We would like to take the opportunity to wish one of our kaumātua Netta Mackintosh a very happy 90th Birthday. Netta has strong Whakapapa links to various Ngāi Tahu Papatipu Rūnaka.
She has been an active member of Hokonui Runanga for well over 2o years. During this time Netta has held various portfolio’s including Otago District Health Board, Otago Museum, trustee for our Hokonui Runanga Health & Social Services Trust, as well as being our Secretary. Netta was also involved with another past executive member the late Dr Peter Snow ( Tapanui Flu ) in getting the West Otago Health Services established in Tapanui. Netta has always made it known that she has a special connection with Ōnuku – Waiwera & Makaawhio Rūnanga. Many happy returns Netta, we hope you enjoy your special day.

Nurse Led Clinics - Hokonui Runanga Health & Social Services Trust
Hokonui Runanga Health and Social Services Trust are starting Nurse Led Clinics on the 21st of October. There will be two clinics a month, one in Gore and one in Mataura. Solander Island: Kingdom of the Birds
Solander Island - Te Niho a Kewa - lies north-west of Stewart Island and guards the western approach to Foveaux Strait. The island is the eroded remains of an extinct volcano.
